Sleepy Hollow ROGAINE

6 or 12 hour foot ROGAINE

Falling leaves, cool temps, big climbs await you to explore SciotoTrail in late fall. This event offers a 6 hour option and a 12 hour option to those over achievers. Plenty of trails and forest roads to quickly get you to attack points. Once you have located all the checkpoints you desire a buffet of hot food and cold drinks await.

7:00am Sign in begins (maps and scorecards)
8:45am meeting
9:00 am mass start (6 & 12 hour)
2:30 pm food served
3:00 pm end 6 hour
3:30 pm (or so) 6 hour awards
9:00 pm end 12 hour
9:30 pm (or so) awards

Required gear;
Each person shall carry at all times;
  • whistle
  • compass
  • map
  • hydration
  • headlamp with extra batteries (12 hour only)
  • 6 hour racers should carry a small light source. 
  • jacket (based on weather conditions)

Each team/solo shall have;

  • properly signed waiver
  • charged and functional wireless phone
  • hunter's orange or other high visible color
Each person shall receive;
  • pre-marked waterproof map at 1/24,000th scale, MY Topo prints these maps
  • HOT food at conclusion
  • giveaways as provided by sponsors
  • a great time

Each team/solo shall receive;

  • scorecard
  • pre event email on the Wed. before the event
  • entry for $50 cash drawing at start line

    Entries to this event will be limited to 125 people to ensure a quality event. Registrations will be closed upon receiving 125 entries and could close before 

    A team may add a racers but NO new registrations will be accepted since we will be ordering maps from

    Teams and solos will scour Scioto Trail State Park and Forest locating hidden checkpoints. Checkpoints will be placed on or near trails, around or under various terrain features, and distance between checkpoints varies but usually will be about 1km apart. Each person can help navigate using our topographical maps. (backseat drivers) You may utilize trails, roads and bushwhacking.

    Absolutely NO trespassing on private property.

    Teams are required to stay within 50 yards from each other at all times.
